Severe storms hit northern Missouri on Saturday night, causing damage in multiple counties. A church in Trenton, the Wesley United Methodist Church, suffered extensive damage to its roof. Photos show a storm funnel cloud and the aftermath of the storm's destruction.
A funnel cloud was spotted in Riverside County, California, but did not reach the ground. This comes a day after an EF-1 tornado hit Montebello in Los Angeles County, damaging 17 buildings. Tornadoes are more common in California than people may realize, but most of them are weaker and less destructive than the one that hit Montebello.
