Cyberattack Disrupts Iran's Fuel Network, Israeli Group Suspected
Iran has pointed to the Israel-linked group Predatory Sparrow as the culprit behind a cyberattack that disrupted services at around 70% of the country's fuel stations. The group claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was carried out in a controlled manner to avoid damage to emergency services. Iran's civil defense agency is investigating the incident while Iranian state media noted that the hacker group has previously claimed cyberattacks against petrol stations, rail networks, and steel factories in the country. This is the first major fuel disruption since 2021 when a cyberattack caused long queues at stations across Iran.
