"AirJet's Revolutionary Cooling System Turbocharges M2 MacBook Air Performance"
Frore Systems, a startup with $116 million in funding, installed its novel solid-state active cooling system, called AirJet Mini, into Apple's 15-inch MacBook Air, which doesn't have a fan. The modified laptop showed impressive performance improvements as the tests wore on and the fanless MacBook Air's throttling kicked in. However, the installation process required modifications to the laptop's chassis, and the impact on battery life was not addressed. Frore Systems plans to debut the AirJet system in a $499 barebones Zotac mini-PC and is also developing larger and smaller versions of the cooling system.
