Historic North Hangar at Marine Corps Air Station Tustin Engulfed in Massive Fire
A massive fire engulfed a historic hangar at a former air base in Tustin, Orange County, prompting a three-alarm response from fire crews. The fire, which started around 1 a.m., consumed the 17-story structure, with firefighters using a helicopter and ground attack to combat the flames. The lack of water on the property posed a challenge, requiring crews to pump water from nearby hydrants. No civilians were present, and nearby neighborhoods did not require evacuation. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
