Global Efforts to Evacuate Citizens from Sudan Amidst Intensifying Conflict

As fighting continues in Sudan, foreign governments are evacuating their diplomats and citizens from the country. Most countries are using military transport aircraft for the airlift, with France using its airbase in Djibouti. The US is facilitating the overland departure of private US citizens, while the UK has evacuated around 30 diplomatic staff and their families and is making arrangements for further evacuations. Other countries, including Germany, Canada, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Poland, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Japan, South Africa, Kenya, Palestine, South Korea, Jordan, and Egypt, have also evacuated their citizens or are in the process of doing so.
