Tamale Fest returned to Rockford at a new location, featuring Latin American food truck vendors from throughout the Midwest. The event included a tamale competition, a jalapeño eating contest, ballet and Aztec dancers, a low-rider car show, and a hopping contest.
Tranise Brown and her husband Travis Fennell have successfully organized Food Truck Tuesdays, a popular food truck festival in Rowan County, North Carolina. The event, which started with just a few trucks, has grown in popularity and now includes Wednesday lunch and Sunday afternoon picnics. Brown's vision of bringing the community together through food has been a hit, with thousands of followers on their Facebook page. The couple plans to expand the festival to other towns and continue to support the food truck vendors who have been loyal to their events.
