Nike files patent infringement lawsuits against New Balance and Skechers
Nike has filed lawsuits against New Balance and Skechers, accusing them of infringing on its patents for the popular Flyknit technology used in its sneakers. This is the latest legal battle in Nike's ongoing efforts to protect its intellectual property rights. Nike has previously settled similar lawsuits with Adidas and Puma, while the litigation with Lululemon is still ongoing. New Balance plans to vigorously defend against the lawsuit, stating that Nike does not have exclusive rights to traditional manufacturing methods. Nike seeks damages and a "reasonable royalty" from the sale of allegedly infringing products.
