Big Bear Eaglet Sunny Embarks on First Flight
Sunny, the eaglet from the Big Bear eagle family, successfully fledged and flew from the nest for the first time, with her parents and sibling Gizmo nearby. While this marks a significant milestone, it also brings a bittersweet feeling for observers, as Sunny will now be more independent, though she remains under her parents' protection for several weeks or months. Gizmo has yet to fledge, and the webcam has documented multiple eaglet fledgings since 2017.
