TSA Seizes 40th Loaded Gun at Pittsburgh International Airport
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) confiscated its 40th firearm of the year at Pittsburgh International Airport when a man attempted to board a flight with a loaded handgun. This surpasses the previous record of 35 firearms caught in 2019. The passenger had a valid concealed-carry permit, so no charges were filed by the Allegheny County Police. TSA officers have confiscated a total of 40 guns at the airport this year, compared to 26 in 2022 and 32 in 2021. Nationwide, over 6,000 guns have been stopped at security checkpoints so far this year, indicating a concerning trend.
