Multiple Fires Ravage Alexandria and New Orleans, Leaving Buildings Damaged and Businesses Impacted

Two fires in Alexandria, Louisiana damaged a total of five buildings. The first fire occurred on Rapides Avenue and North 13th Streets, spreading to three additional buildings before being brought under control. The second fire on Overton Street was caused by improper disposal of smoking material and was extinguished in 16 minutes. No injuries were reported in either incident. Firework-Related Calls Surge on Fourth of July in Austin and North Texas

The Austin Fire Department received approximately 300 calls related to fireworks incidents on the Fourth of July, with the majority of them being grass, dumpster, and trash fires. The department also responded to a few structure fires. These calls exceeded the normal volume levels, and it is important to note that the storage, use, and handling of fireworks are prohibited within Austin city limits, except for authorized displays with permits.

"Clark County Fire Crews Battled Fourth of July Fires Nonstop"

The Clark County Fire Department in Las Vegas responded to numerous fires on the Fourth of July and into Wednesday morning, including 90 outside fires and nine building fires. Many of these fires were likely caused by fireworks, although the final count is yet to be determined. Additional fires occurred at various locations, including a two-story home, a shed, a mobile home, and a house. No injuries were reported, and the causes of these fires are under investigation.
