Anna Tower-Kovesdi, who immigrated to the US from Hungary on a fiancé visa, was diagnosed with leukemia two weeks after she started working. As an immigrant, she found the American medical system and insurance complex and had to turn to crowdfunding to pay her bills. However, she is grateful for the quality of care she is receiving in Denver and worries about other immigrants facing cancer who may not have the same resources she does.
