Labor Strikes Disrupt Operations at Spirit AeroSystems and Boeing Suppliers.

The Machinists Union began a strike against Spirit AeroSystems over contract disputes after a Wednesday vote on a new contract resulted in a 79% "no" vote and 85% vote to strike. A federal mediator will be meeting with both parties on Saturday. Spirit AeroSystems has suspended factory production and will pay workers for their scheduled hours through Thursday and Friday.
