Reba McEntire revealed during an episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" that Dolly Parton doesn't text or email and can only be reached through a fax machine. McEntire joked about not having Parton's telephone number and shared that even Kenny Rogers didn't have it. Miley Cyrus also previously mentioned communicating with Parton via fax, with Parton scanning the fax and sending it as a text message.
Despite the decline in fax use, many businesses still use it as a secure and legally binding means of communication, particularly in finance, manufacturing, government, and healthcare. Some companies use it because it's an entrenched workflow, while others may not have a sophisticated tech infrastructure or want to make fax available for customers who need to use it. However, requesting faxes can be costly and not particularly policyholder-friendly. While digital alternatives have displaced a lot of fax, it remains in use and still important for many businesses and organizations to communicate.
