Georgia's Lt. Gov. Burt Jones Under Investigation for Alleged Election Meddling
Georgia's Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones will face an inquiry for his involvement as a fake elector for Donald J. Trump in the 2020 presidential election. The district attorney of Fulton County, Fani T. Willis, was disqualified from pursuing the case due to a conflict of interest, but the executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, Pete Skandalakis, has now taken over the investigation. This comes as part of a broader investigation into fake electors enlisted by the Trump campaign in several swing states.
