Warning Signs: Unique Face Changes and Undercalculated Covid Cases
The Pirola Covid variant, also known as the BA.2.86 strain, is causing concern among health officials. While it doesn't appear to be more severe or resistant to immunity from vaccines, it can cause unique symptoms, including eye irritation and skin rashes. Other less common symptoms include changes in the mouth or tongue, sore fingers or toes, diarrhea, and itchy eyes. The most common Covid-19 symptoms have also evolved, with a sore throat, runny nose, blocked nose, sneezing, and cough without phlegm being reported more frequently. Health experts urge eligible individuals to get vaccinated to protect against severe illness.
