Laundry brand recalls multiple products over chemical hazard concerns.
The Laundress, owned by Unilever, has issued a recall for 70,000 fabric conditioners due to the presence of ethylene oxide, a carcinogen that can cause adverse health effects. This comes after the company recalled millions of laundry and household cleaning products in December due to a bacteria risk. No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products. Consumers who purchased the products on or after January 2021 can request a refund.
