Austin Airport Sets New Passenger Record After Formula 1 Weekend
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport experienced its busiest day ever recorded, with 43,243 passengers screened on October 23, 2023, surpassing the previous record set after the F1 weekend in 2022. This year, four days in October made it to the top 10 busiest days, and airport officials are projecting a record-breaking 22 million passengers for the year. Airlines have added numerous direct flights from Austin, with more expected in 2024.
