The hackers responsible for the breach at UnitedHealth Group, known as Blackcat or ALPHV, have seemingly disappeared, replacing their website with a bogus law enforcement statement. Security experts suspect it to be an "exit scam," where hackers feign shutdown to pocket money and rebrand. Prior to this, the hackers claimed to have stolen sensitive records from UnitedHealth and allegedly cheated associates out of a $22 million ransom. The FBI and Europol have not commented, and UnitedHealth has not confirmed whether a ransom was paid.
