Skydance Media and Paramount Global have announced their official post-merger leadership structure, with David Ellison as CEO and Jeff Shell as President, alongside a team of industry veterans overseeing various segments such as studios, direct-to-consumer, and TV media, aiming to drive transformation and growth for the combined entity.
Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe has taken on the role of chief product officer as Nick Kalayjian transitions to an advisory position. Scaringe will now oversee all product development at the EV maker, focusing on their next-generation platform aimed at delivering more affordable electric vehicles and expanding into the mass market. Kalayjian will become the executive vice president of vehicle engineering and propulsion before moving into a product and technology advisory role. The executive team will undergo further shuffling, with Richard Farquhar assuming a new role in future R&D and other teams reporting directly to Scaringe and Kalayjian.
Electronic Arts has hired a new CFO and reorganized its studios into two groups: EA Entertainment and EA Sports. The former will comprise studios that create well-known IP such as Apex Legends, Star Wars games, and Battlefield, while the latter will comprise many of the sports offerings. Both organizations will report to CEO Andrew Wilson. The move comes after Wilson announced plans to lay off about 6% of its workforce in late March and restructure the company.
Electric vehicle manufacturer Arcimoto has appointed a new CEO, Christopher Dawson, to replace Jesse Fittipaldi, who will now serve as president. The company's CFO, Doug Campoli, has left, and a contractor will fill the role while the company searches for a new CFO. Dwayne Lum has been promoted from chief product officer to chief operating officer. The company's share price remains unchanged at $1.40. Arcimoto has been struggling financially, reporting a loss of $63 million last year on just $6.6 million in sales. The company warned in January that it is at risk of bankruptcy.
