Florida's Controversial Police Recruitment Program Raises Concerns.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's $13.5m police recruitment program has attracted officers with histories of excessive violence or criminal charges, including kidnapping and murder. The program, which offers cash incentives to officers from other states, has recruited almost 600 officers, some of whom have arrived with complaints against them or have since accrued criminal charges.
