"Will Nintendo Direct Return in June 2023?"

With E3's cancellation, the focus this year is on Summer Game Fest, where more than 40 gaming partners will showcase their wares. Nintendo Life's writers predict that there won't be a full Nintendo Direct until September, but there might be an Indie World Showcase or a Partner Showcase. The most likely thing we'll see before the end of July is a Pikmin 4 Direct. Nintendo will be coasting on Tears of the Kingdom for a good while yet and looking to capitalise on that game and the evergreens in the back catalogue before dropping big announcements as autumn arrives.

Nintendo is launching a sequel to its party game, 1-2 Switch, called Everybody 1-2-Switch! on June 30th. The game features mini-games that can be played with a compatible smartphone, and will cost $30. The official product page is sparse on details, but promises "everything from balloons to aliens." The original game launched with 28 mini-games, some of which were odd but fun. The game is a sequel to the Switch's party launch title, 1-2 Switch!, and allows players to take part using both Joy-Con controllers and their smart devices.
