With E3's cancellation, the focus this year is on Summer Game Fest, where more than 40 gaming partners will showcase their wares. Nintendo Life's writers predict that there won't be a full Nintendo Direct until September, but there might be an Indie World Showcase or a Partner Showcase. The most likely thing we'll see before the end of July is a Pikmin 4 Direct. Nintendo will be coasting on Tears of the Kingdom for a good while yet and looking to capitalise on that game and the evergreens in the back catalogue before dropping big announcements as autumn arrives.

Nintendo has been confirmed to attend Gamescom 2023, which will take place in Cologne from August 23-27. The company did not attend the event in 2022, so fans are hoping for some big announcements this year.
