Sufjan Stevens Honors Late Partner with Grammy-Nominated Album
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens dedicates his new album, Javelin, to his late partner Evans Richardson, describing him as the "light of his life" and his "best friend". Stevens, who has kept his personal life private throughout his career, revealed that the inspiration behind the album was the loss of Richardson, who passed away in April. The album marks Stevens' first solo release in three years and comes after he recently revealed his diagnosis of Guillain-Barre syndrome.
