"Revolutionary 3D-Printed Titanium Road Bike Takes Eurobike by Storm"

Dutch titanium frame maker Pilot has unveiled the Seiren, a fully 3D-printed titanium frame prototype at Eurobike. The Seiren will cost €17,000 ($18,625) for a complete bike built with Dura-Ace, Corima wheels, and all other high-end carbon bits. The frame weighs just 1,150 grams, putting it in the ballpark of carbon road bikes. The fully 3D printed frame is stronger than its welded counterpart because it eliminates the stress points of welds. The Seiren is expected to go on sale in 2024.

Pilot's Seiren: A 3D-Printed Titanium Super Bike.

Dutch titanium specialists Pilot Cycles have unveiled a new 3D-printed titanium road bike, the Seiren, which will cost around €17,000 when it enters full production in October. The frame is made up of three 3D-printed sections, which are then bonded together, and the seat mast is similar to the Trek Madone aero road bike. The walls of each section are only 0.6mm thick, bringing the claimed weight of a size-56cm frame down to 1,150g. The bike is set to go on sale in early 2024.
