etaHEN Set to Launch on PS5 Bypassing Supervisor Firmware
PlayStation developer LightningMods is working on porting the PS5 Homebrew Enabler (etaHEN) to the Byepervisor exploit, which allows for reading and writing to kernel memory at runtime, overcoming limitations of the hypervisor on Jailbroken consoles. This development could enhance performance and features compared to the existing kstuff method, which is slower and harder to port to new firmwares. The etaHEN port will initially support PS5 firmwares vulnerable to Byepervisor, specifically versions 1.xx and 2.xx, offering features like a modified Debug menu, plugins, and a Homebrew Store.
