Our Bodies: Living Proof of Einstein's Equation
Science confirms that matter is made of energy fields, and our bodies are no exception. Atoms are mostly empty space, with electrons and nucleons held together by electromagnetic energy. The mass of matter comes from the enormous amount of energy inside the nucleons, which is a combination of kinetic and potential energy. This means that 98% of our mass is not "stuff" but energy. Einstein's equation, E=mc2, tells us that mass and energy are equivalent, so the energy inside the nucleons makes up the vast majority of our mass.
