A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Elkhart and Cass counties in Michiana until 11:30 p.m., with threats of tornadoes and large hail as a tornado watch remains in place across the region.
A construction worker, Rodolfo Nunez, was accidentally killed while cleaning a paving machine in Elkhart County, Indiana. Nunez got caught in the auger and suffered multiple blunt force injuries. The incident is being investigated by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office, county coroner, and Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
