Trump Co-Defendants Plead Guilty, Election Subversion Case Avoids Federal Trial
Former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark and three Republican presidential electors have lost their bids to move their trials on election racketeering charges related to the 2020 election in Georgia from state to federal court. U.S. District Judge Steve Jones ruled that Clark's letter, which contained false statements about the election, was not part of his job at the Justice Department. The judge also rejected similar requests from the three GOP electors, stating that their actions were not related to federal duties.
