
Elderly Resident Charged with Murder in Nursing Home Laundry Room Dispute
A 71-year-old resident of a nursing home in Joliet, Illinois, has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery after allegedly attacking and killing a fellow resident during a fight over a washing machine. The victim, a 61-year-old man, was found unresponsive in a laundry room and pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, William Paschall, reportedly became angry over the victim's use of the washing machine and assaulted him using the victim's walker. Paschall was taken into custody by the police.
