ASUS announces ROG Ally, a new handheld gaming PC to rival Steam Deck.
ASUS is set to release the ROG Ally, a Windows gaming handheld that will support ASUS's proprietary ROG XG Mobile eGPU solution and feature a custom AMD APU with rumoured Zen 3 CPU cores and an RDNA 3-based iGPU. The device will resemble other contemporary gaming handhelds, with a small display sandwiched between game controller buttons, and will have a more powerful iGPU than the Radeon 680M that AMD includes in the Ryzen 7 6800U through Ryzen 9 6980HX. The ROG Ally is likely to offer 8 or 12 Compute Units (CUs) based on the RDNA 3 architecture and will have a 7-inch and 1080p display.
