"Williamson County Unveils East Wilco Highway's Inaugural Section"
Williamson County in Texas has opened Segment 1 of the East Wilco Highway, a two-lane road with a turning lane in the middle, to help accommodate the growing number of cars in the area. The project also widened County Road 138 to add a dedicated right-turn lane to northbound State Highway 130. Segment 3, which includes a bridge over U.S. 79 and the Union Pacific Railroad, is currently under construction. Segment 2 will be decided by voters in the upcoming election. The county is currently working on over 50 road projects, facing challenges such as increased costs and labor shortages.
