Bacterial meningitis outbreak hits Colorado high schools.
Eaglecrest High School in Colorado canceled classes and activities after a teacher, Maddie Schmidt, died possibly due to bacterial meningitis. The Arapahoe County Public Health Department is working with the school to identify students and staff who may have been in close contact with the infected person. The school is sending out information about bacterial meningitis, and PSAT and SAT testing will be rescheduled.
