San Francisco's first driverless shuttle, part of a free and fully electric autonomous shuttle service called "the Loop," has begun offering public rides on Treasure Island. Riders have reported frequent and jolting stops, with the shuttle sometimes mistaking shadows for obstacles and abruptly slamming on the brakes.
