Multiple U.S. cell service providers, including AT&T, T Mobile, Verizon, UScellular, and Consumer Cellular, experienced outages early Thursday morning, as reported by downdetector.com. Some municipalities also reported issues with 911 service. The outages began around 3 a.m. EST and seemed to be subsiding three hours later, with no known cause at the time. AWS announced that many services are now fully recovered, but there are still delays in the execution of asynchronous invocations. The website Downdetector.com reported around 12,000 reports of outages related to the problem.
