A doorbell camera in California captured a car speeding down a residential street, hitting a curb, and launching into the air before crashing into a house in Jurupa Valley. The car flew over two parked pickup trucks and landed on top of one of them, causing major damage to the home. The driver, who sustained minor to moderate injuries, was able to safely exit the vehicle, and nobody inside the house was hurt.
A new doorbell video has been released in the ongoing search for a missing 12-year-old girl in Salt Lake City. The video, provided with permission, is being used by authorities to gather information and leads in the investigation.
Pennsylvania police have released doorbell video footage showing a new sighting of escaped inmate Michael Burham, who has been on the run for a week. The video, captured south of Warren, Pennsylvania, shows Burham slowly walking towards the woods. Police believe he may have injured himself during the escape and appears to be walking with a limp. Authorities urge residents to stay vigilant and report any sightings, but do not believe Burham is an increased threat. Burham was in jail for arson and burglary and is also a suspect in a May homicide in New York. The reward for information leading to his capture is $22,000.
A North Carolina man had a close encounter with a bear outside his home in Asheville. Doorbell video shows both man and bear were startled by the sudden, face-to-face encounter. The man says he’s noticed the same bear grabbing a quick bite from his “bear-proof” bird feeder in the past.
