
Madalina Cojocari's Mother Faces New Drug Charges in Jail
Diana Cojocari, the mother of missing 12-year-old Madalina Cojocari, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance at the Mecklenburg County jail after a search found a baggie of fentanyl-based substance in her shirt pocket. Diana Cojocari has been in jail since December 2022 in connection to the disappearance of her daughter, who was last seen walking off a school bus in Cornelius on Nov. 21, 2022. While Madalina’s whereabouts aren’t currently known, investigators say they’re still following up on leads and are hopeful for a break in the case.
