Knight lands at Ole Miss, reshaping the Rebels’ QB plan
Former Auburn quarterback Deuce Knight committed to Ole Miss, giving the Rebels a high-upside transfer option after NCAA denied Trinidad Chambliss’ extra season and amid a need to replenish QB depth following Austin Simmons’ transfer. Knight, a 6'4", 217-pound playmaker ranked No. 13 among transfer QBs, flashed his potential in a 2025 start (401 total yards, six TDs) and draws praise for size, speed and leadership, potentially shaping Ole Miss’s quarterback plans in 2026; Ole Miss had also shown interest in DJ Lagway before he chose Baylor.
