Sandy Springs still under boil water advisory.

Sandy Springs residents are advised to boil their water until the Department of Watershed Management confirms that the water is safe after fixing a breach in the area. Repairs were completed by 9 a.m. Monday morning, but the advisory is in effect until water samples from the area are cleared of contamination which the department said will take around 24 hours. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division will advise the city on when the boil water advisory can be lifted.

Sandy Springs Water Woes: Repairs Completed but Boil Advisory Remains

Repairs have been completed on a 48-inch transmission water main on Riverside Rd near the Don White Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia, after more than 24 hours of issues. However, the boil water advisory first issued on Sunday will remain in place until the Department of Watershed Management clears it to be lifted. Residents and businesses should continue to boil their water or use bottled water until the advisory is lifted.
