Despite the benefits of Suboxone in treating opioid-use disorder, patients who have taken the drug for at least six months are experiencing tooth decay and other dental problems. The FDA advises patients to rinse their teeth and mouth after taking the medication, wait one hour before brushing their teeth, and see a dentist regularly.
