Israel has received approval from the US Department of State to sell its Arrow 3 missile-defense system to Germany in a $3.5 billion deal, making it Israel's largest defense export ever. The Arrow 3 system, designed to intercept ballistic missiles outside Earth's atmosphere, is a co-development between the US Missile Defense Agency and Israel Aerospace Industries.
