"Lineup Revealed: Candidates for the Second Republican Presidential Debate"
The second Republican presidential debate will feature seven candidates: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, businessperson Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum. Former President Donald Trump will not be participating and will instead hold a rally in Michigan. Trump's absence was expected, as he skipped the first debate as well. The third debate in November could further narrow the field as participation requirements have been increased.
