Sarah Polley's daughter played an April Fools' Day prank on her by forging a letter from the Academy stating that she must return her Oscar for best adapted screenplay for Women Talking to give it to the actual winner, All Quiet on the Western Front. Polley shared the letter on Twitter, but it was just a joke. All Quiet on the Western Front earned nine Oscar nominations and four wins, but not for its screenplay.
