Google Album Archive to Shut Down: How to Save Your Data

Google Album Archive, a repository for photos and videos shared on older Google services, will be shutting down on July 19, 2023. Users can save their media by using Google Takeout, the company's tool for exporting data. A customized Google Takeout link will take users directly to a page for downloading their Album Archive data. Users can either receive a ZIP or TGZ file via email or upload their files directly to another storage service. The Google Takeout link to download data will work only for 7 days, and users should download anything they want to keep by July 19, 2023, to be sure they don't lose it.
