"Prison Escapes Prompt Upgrades and Security Measures at Chester County Jail"
The Pennsylvania jail from which murderer Danilo Cavalcante escaped plans to enclose its exercise yards with walls and a roof, along with other security improvements. The redesign, expected to cost $2.5 million to $3.5 million, aims to prevent future escapes and contraband delivery. The plan also includes the installation of new cameras, hiring more guards, and requiring inmates to wear brighter uniforms. Cavalcante, who was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend, was captured after a two-week manhunt and is now being held at a state prison.
