Mastering Milky Way Photography: Tips and Tricks from a Pro Photographer
Astrophotographer Dan Zafra shares his creative process for capturing the perfect Milky Way photo. After extensive research and planning, Zafra used the Photopills app to verify the positioning of the Milky Way in augmented reality mode. He hiked to a specific location in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, set up his gear, and shot the foreground and background separately using different equipment. Back at home, he blended the images together in Photoshop, making adjustments to vignetting and color to achieve a dreamy final result.
