Cyclone Mischief, a horse owned by Iowa-based Albaugh Family Stables, is set to compete in the Kentucky Derby after Practical Move was scratched due to a fever. Cyclone Mischief joins two other horses from the same stable, Jace's Road and Angel of Empire, in the 20-horse field. Winning the Kentucky Derby is on the bucket list of owner Denny Albaugh, who has had several horses qualify in recent years but has yet to win the race.
Practical Move has been scratched from Kentucky Derby 149 due to an elevated temperature, two days before the race. Cyclone Mischief will replace Practical Move and will go to post 20 with the same program number as No. 21. All other horses' program numbers will remain the same, but those drawn outside Practical Move will break from one gate to their inside.
