Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Set for 2025 Multi-Platform Release

Sega has announced that "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2" will be released in 2025 for "the Nintendo Switch family of systems" and other major platforms. Developed by CyberConnect2, the sequel will expand on the original game with a larger roster of over 40 characters, including new additions from the "Entertainment District Arc," "Swordsmith Village Arc," and "Hashira Training Arc." The game will be showcased at Japan's Jump Fest in December 2024.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Game Set for 2025 Release

Aniplex has announced the sequel to the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles video game, titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan 2, set for a 2025 release. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Developed by CyberConnect2, the game will cover the Entertainment District Arc to the Hashira Training Arc, featuring the nine Hashira as playable characters. A demo will be available at Jump Festa '25, showcasing characters Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji.

CyberConnect2 Montreal Studio to shut down in July.

CyberConnect2 Montreal Studio, the Canadian subsidiary of Japanese developer CyberConnect2, will close at the end of July 2023, after leading the company on a creative journey in the development of tools and cutting-edge techniques used in creating games since its founding in 2016. CyberConnect2 expressed gratitude to its staff and partners in the educational institutions, administration offices, and the entire Montreal video game industry, and will continue to grow and move forward with the experiences gained in Montreal.
