To celebrate its two year anniversary, survival citybuilder Patron has introduced a new creative game mode, allowing players to have infinite resources and access to all buildings. The previous default mode is now called "sandbox" and includes additional features such as an automatic jobs board. Patron distinguishes itself from other townbuilders with its social simulation, where every citizen belongs to a social group that reacts differently to the player's decisions. The game is currently available at a 70% discount on Steam.

Fortnite has collaborated with Nike's .Swoosh Web3 platform, which offers digital apparel and accessories sold as NFTs, but the alliance does not integrate NFTs into Fortnite. The collaboration involves a Nike-branded experience within Fortnite's Creative Mode, letting users go on the "ultimate Nike sneakerhunt" within a Fortnite game world. The experience can earn players a free in-game "back bling" or avatar accessory styled like a classic pair of Nike Air Max sneakers, but it is not tokenized as an NFT. However, .Swoosh users can earn a special achievement on their NFT-based ID for connecting their account to an Epic Games account via this promotion.

Fall Guys Season 4, titled Creative Construction, will be released on March 10th, featuring a new build-it-yourself Creative mode that allows players to construct and share their own levels. The new mode offers an intuitive, fully-featured construction toolkit available directly in-game, with additional themes, round types, obstacles, and music set to be added in future updates. The season also brings a new "digital" theme, a new obstacle, and changes to the overall delivery format. Mediatonic is also ditching Fall Guys' existing Season Pass model in favour of shorter, more frequent Fame Passes.

Teams are using the newly revamped Creative Mode in Fortnite to recreate the original map from Chapter 1 using the brand-new Unreal Editor for Fortnite. The new tool runs in Unreal Engine 5 and builds on concepts from the existing Fortnite Creative toolset, adding new features for expanded custom content, modeling, textures, VFX, and more. Multiple teams have already started working on recreations of Fortnite's original island, and some have already released their maps for players to enjoy.

Epic Games has released Unreal Editor For Fortnite (UEFN), a UE5-powered version of the game’s Creative mode, which is now in beta form. UEFN is improving Creative mode by adding several of Unreal 5’s features, making it a full-on Roblox-style custom game editor. Epic is also revising how they compensate creators with Creator Economy 2.0. These updates bring Epic one step closer to its vision of a connected metaverse.
