Cardiff University Joins Space Telescope Mission for Big Bang Discovery
Cardiff University in Wales will contribute to a space telescope mission called LiteBIRD, which aims to study the creation of the universe and the Big Bang. The project will analyze the remnants of the Big Bang and investigate the theory of cosmological inflation. Cardiff University experts will design and build the optics for two telescopes, helping to confirm or rule out inflation models and enhance our understanding of the origins of the universe. The UK Space Agency has provided £2.7m in funding for the project.
