Matt Wallace won the Corales Puntacana Championship, earning $684,000 and 300 FedExCup points. The 32-year-old golfer, who is a member of both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, played the last 16 holes in bogey-free 7-under with seven birdies for a field-low-tying 66. Nicolai Højgaard of Denmark finished second, while Tyler Duncan and Sam Stevens shared third place.

Ricky Barnes, a former PGA Tour player and 2002 U.S. Amateur champion, who now has a day job in real estate, finished solo seventh at the Corales Puntacana Championship, his best finish since 2016. Barnes, who has not played a full Tour schedule since losing his card in 2018, claimed a spot in next week's Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio. Despite not being a full-time Tour player anymore, Barnes still competes when he can and is excited to play in the Valero Texas Open.
